Education Reimagined
KaleidoscopeME launches inaugural teacher-training conference in Rochester, NY
KaleidoscopeME held its first teacher-training conference in Rochester, New York, marking the launch of an initiative to redefine education as a pathway not only to knowledge but to a sustainable, thriving life for students. The event gathered educators and community members to explore practical strategies for helping children succeed both academically and in life.
Featured speakers included Kaylin McCarthy, Linda Bowen, and Bart Dentino, each sharing perspectives on current educational challenges and actionable approaches educators can adopt to address them. Their talks focused on adapting teaching practices to meet changing social and economic conditions, fostering resilience and real-world readiness in students, and integrating cross-disciplinary methods that connect classroom learning with life skills.
Liza Savage Katz closed the session by presenting ActiveLife, KaleidoscopeME’s framework for building healthier, more empowered communities through education. Katz outlined the structure of ActiveLife and the tools it offers—curriculum designs, community partnerships, and teacher supports—to help schools and educators implement long-term, sustainable change.
KaleidoscopeME looks forward to future events and a series of follow-up teacher-training conferences aimed at scaling these ideas and supporting educators as they put them into practice.
